The car that stunned me the most at the Art Center College Car Classic 2012, was this 1955 Lancia D50

 

that incredible 1923 Avoin factory reserach race car from the Mullins Museum was graciously brought to the Art Center College Car Classic 2012, and it must have shocked a lot of spectators.

From the Zenith Carburateur company... I can see it says NORMAL on top, but I can't tell what the other two words are

Lyn St James, icon... race car driver and I came across one of the race cars she's owned at Speedfest this year

Just consider how few people can race professionally, now think how few of them win, then how few have won the 24 Hours at Daytona, and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Lyn did that. She also earned a piano teaching certificate.

I was surprised to find the wood grain applique on the instrument panels... Who does that?

How about the malleable putty used to fill between the fender and bumper? Cool!

Mini Marco... I've never seen or heard of one before...

 It was the only British car to finish Le Mans in 1966 and set four British land speed class records.
