The 1930 Ruxton from the Nethercutt collection was at the Dana Point Concours de Elegance, a good example of just how colorful expensive cars were in 1930

I posted this car a little bit from when I was at the Nethercutt, but indoors and boxed in by other cars, with lousy lighting did not show it off as well as this. The other great colors are here http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2011/07/ruxtons-quite-colorful-way-of-calling.html

1937 supercharged Graham with a very interesting instrument gauge module, it clued me into why Hudsons in the late 40's had such interesting radio panels

below is why I was reminded of the Hudson radio

in the middle of the gauge above, on the left it says "Park" and on the right "City" ... and in the below photo on the far right the gauge has "Drive" and "Pass"

I've never noticed anything like that before. Also unusual is the radio, it's the middle gauge. I don't recall ever seeing a radio that fits into the look of the other gauges so well.

beautiful Jaguars from the Dana Point concours

I'm in love with a D-type, 1956. Thats better than an urban cougar, right?

 I'm in love with a C type also. 1953
that blue E type is ok... but just an ugly sister in the company of C and D
