All aluminum '40 Willys that's been circling around the internet all year finally found my email inbox

I looked around the internet to see where these originally came from, and the earliest post of them seems to be mid February 2012 on http://wizardofbaum.blogspot.com/2012/02/walt-austins-aluminum-willys-coupe.html where there are more images. However, http://saltflatsspeedshop.com/40willys.html has a bigger gallery and a couple of the car at a car show and where the Salt Flats Speed Shop says they sold it to a guy in New York

1966 Berlinetta Willys Interlagos, one of 4 in the USA according to the owner, out of only 822 made in Brazil

for more info http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z16174/Willys-Interlagos.aspx but in brief, Willys Overland of Brazil licensed the Renault Alpine 108, and built them from 1962-1966

This cars owner left a comment, and thanks! telling us that this one is one of maybe 4, 2 are intact, one is derelict, and the 4th is rumoured to be a cabriolet in Long Beach.
